Welcome to Season Two of Terrance Talks Travel: Über Adventures. This season I’ll be focusing on U.S. travel adventures with periodic special topics. I’m going to start this season off with a special topic. Have you ever dreamed about quitting your job or retiring and traveling full-time?
I have lots of Twitter followers who are doing just that. They range in age from twenty-somethings to well into their seventies. Some have quit their jobs or sold their businesses or are working overseas or have snagged jobs in the travel industry. During this show, I interview Tom Bartel and Kristin Henning of Travel Past 50. It was such a fun interview! They are a very interesting and fun-loving couple. They sold their home (and most of their possessions) and business in 2010 and have been traveling the world ever since. During the show, Tom and Kristin reveal that they have visited more than 55 countries (but that number has increased to 59 since our interview) and have logged more than 149,000 miles according to TripIt. But the information they share is just as relevant to those interested in U.S. travel as it is for worldwide travelers. They share their best tips, advice, funny stories, their favorite places, and lots more great info (including how all this travel has affected their marriage and finances). If you’re interested in following them on Twitter you can @TravelPast50 or visit www.travelpast50.com.
