Kayak is an all purpose travel planning tool. You can use it to compare prices and options across the board: car rentals, hotels, airlines, and online travel agencies. Plus, Kayak offers deal alerts, a fare calendar, and MyTrips (itinerary planning feature). It works on most mobiles, including iPhones and Androids devices. Most people don’t realize that Kayak offers travel packages and activities options. I always start with Kayak when I start my travel planning research as it is so user friendly and includes so many options.
