My dream trip is an around the world deluxe cruise to Mediterranean, Europe, South Pacific and South America. If money and time were not an issue I would so do this trip!
Terrance says
What a great trip!

I have wanted to ride the Trans-Siberian Railway since I was 25 years old. I am now 55 and am still dreaming of it. Your podcast about it further fueled my desire. I have done a couple of rail trips and loved them so I am sure this would be great experience.
Terrance says
That’s on my list too! I want to stay in a yurt!
Sammi says
You’ve got me interested in Africa. Can’t afford it right now but it’s possible on a virtual vacation. I would take a deluxe safari, maybe on an elephant (is that possible?) and stay in a safari lodge and see Cape Town and Nairobi.
Terrance says
You can take an elephant safari in India (to see tigers!) but not in Africa. However, you can take a horse or camel or balloon or boat or jeep or walking safari so lots of other options. There are some surprisingly affordable safaris available (let me know if you’d like specific information). Please note that Cape Town is in South Africa and Nairobi is in Kenya (East Africa) so probably won’t do those places in one visit. Both East Africa and South Africa are great safari choices. I hope you get a chance to find out for yourself!

I live in a small town. I have lived here all life. So my dream is to see more of US. I’d like drive across country in camper stop at campgrounds or wherever see that I like to visit and stay as long as like.
Terrance says
No matter where you live, seeing more of America is a great idea. Road trips are seriously fun! I wonder if you have any specific places or route in mind? Hope you get a chance to pursue this dream. Don’t forget that you can always achieve virtual travel!
Larry says
Hawaii is where I want to go. I have traveled there many times in my mind. May try virtual trip now.
Terrance says
I used to live in Honolulu so know quite a bit about the Hawaiian islands. Highly recommend! Do you want to see all islands? If so, a cruise might be best option. There are some good packages available for the Big Island and Oahu and Maui, which are the most popular. Let me know if you need any help with travel planning. In the meantime, yes, by all means take a virtual vacation!

Ooooh, T, This is a great idea. I have several virtual vacations in mind. One is to spend about a month in Europe, (Germany, Austria, Italy, France & UK). I want to see some of the oldest buildings/towns and enjoy some real cultural experiences, outside the normal tourist tracks.
Also, I want to spend another month on some beautiful coast, where the beaches are white, the water is clear and the surrounding township is small-ish and full of culture, without the commercialization, if such places exist.
Terrance says
Both of these are great ideas! I backpacked all through Europe for nearly three months after finishing graduate school. It was such a great experience. So many quaint towns and UNESCO sites. We met some great people (other travelers and locals). We bought a rail pass and just rode the trains from place to place. Italy was one of my favorite places–Nice, Sorrento, Isle of Capri, Tuscany, Florence, Venice, Rome! I would love to repeat that trip only staying in nice hotels this time around rather than hostels! As to tropical vacation, a great place to get away from it all and is so beautiful is The Seychelles. I also think Kauai is pretty good and much more secluded and less touristy than Oahu or Maui or Hawaii.
Tony says
I’ve had a crazy idea in my head for a couple of years now. I don’t know if it’s feasible in real world but for virtual vacation I’d like to travel to all 50 states.
Terrance says
Love it!
Micky says
I want to see and do everything worthwhile in New York City, Las Vegas, Florida, Texas, and California. I think this is only possible with virtual vacation!
Terrance says
Wow! That’s a tall order. It is possible but will take some time and a lot of careful planning. I think a virtual vacation is a good place to start! It is amazing how realistic (yet surreal) VR travel is!
