Where in the world: 8-day Rhine River Cruise
Book by: Until Sold Out
Departure Dates: March 12, 18 & 19, 2017
Cost: $999pp
Why I Like It: European river cruises are notoriously expensive, so I like this $999 price tag (average=$3,500pp). There are limited spring departures so these sailings will book fast. It will still be a little cool in the mornings and evenings but still quite comfortable. Another thing I like about European river cruises is that you see so much while still aboard the ship since you pass so near to scenic towns and historic sites. River cruises offer a more intimate experience than mega-ships that average 3,500 passengers, so there are fewer passengers and different types of activities, such as lectures and movie nights. But the food is every bit as plentiful and delicious as what is offered aboard ocean liners. You also get more all-inclusives, such as alcoholic beverages at dinner and gratuities. And the shore excursions are exceptional. Ports include Amsterdam, Cologne, Mainz, Koblenz, Kehl, Speyer, and Strasbourg. Mention promo code WB66500.
