Why I Like It: I love South Africa and this is price is just right with savings of $1,000 per couple! This price includes roundtrip, international airfare from New York on South African Airways, which is one of the best airlines in the world. This price also includes all air fees, taxes, and fuel surcharges, as well as Intra-South Africa flight and ground transport. Plus, the cost includes lodging in first class hotels, eight meals, Cape Town city tour, and Kruger National Park admission fee and safari. The single supplement has been waived on the August 13 departure (The fee is $250 for all other departure dates). Optional tours include: Table Mountain, Cape Peninsula, The Winelands, Robben Island, Township Tour, and shark-cage diving. This is a great introduction to one of the best destinations in the world and you won’t find a better price.

Fun Facts About South Africa…                                                                                                                           

South Africa has 11 official languages, including Zulu, Afrikaans, Xhosa and English.

Cave paintings have been found in South Africa that date to around 75,000 years ago.

South Africa is known as the “Adventure Capital of the World.”

Kruger National Park is the biggest game reserve in Africa. It is roughly the size of Belgium! Kruger is home to the “Big Five” (lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhino), as well as many other species including zebras, giraffes, wildebeest, hyenas, hippos, crocodiles, African wild dogs, and cheetahs. If you’re a bird watcher, bring your binoculars because there are more than 500 species of birds in Kruger.

Table Mountain National Park has 2,200 different kinds of plants, which is more than New Zealand and the United Kingdom have combined.

Castle of Good Hope is the oldest building in South Africa. It is also one of the most haunted places in the world!
