Where in the world: 8-day London & Paris Rail Trip
Book by: Until Sold Out (July is sold out)
Departure Dates: April – October
Cost: $639pp (land only) or $1,139pp (air and land)
Why I Like It: Well, to begin with, London is my favorite city in the world. And Paris isn’t too shabby either! This is an affordable adventure, especially if you have enough frequent flier miles and only need to pay for the land only. This makes the cost about $79 a day! But this is still a STEAL at less than $1,200 for round-trip international air from NY to London and Paris to NY (other departure cities are available), all airline taxes and surcharges, 3n London and 3n Paris hotels (three-star or upgrade to four-star for an additional $79), breakfast daily, and rail service from London to Paris (upgrade to first class available). Explore on your own or you can choose from optional tours starting at $40, such as a Thames River Cruise or a day trip to Windsor Castle, Stonehenge, and Bath.

Fun Facts About London & Paris…
The Queen needs permission to enter the city. She may be the head of state for the United Kingdom, but Queen Elizabeth II is not allowed to enter the City of London without permission from the Lord Mayor. The royal website states: “The citizens of London, through the Corporation of the City, still retain their ancient privilege of being able to bar the Sovereign from entering their streets.” I seriously doubt that will ever happen!
The Houses of Parliament are officially known as the Palce of Westminster is the largest palace in the country.
The Palace of Westminster has eight bars, six restaurants, 1,000 rooms, 100 staircases, 11 courtyards, a hair salon, and rifle-shooting range.
Paris is the home of the most visited art museum in the world, the Louvre, as well as the Musée d’Orsay, noted for its collection of French Impressionist art, and the Musée National d’Art Moderne, a museum of modern and contemporary art.
There are 1,803 monuments and 173 museums in Paris. There are also 450 parks and gardens in the city, spread out over more than 1,200 acres.
