You don’t have to make a pilgrimage to the Middle East to see the Holy Land. You don’t have to go any farther than Florida. Called the “Holy Land Experience,” this Biblical theme park is the only one of its kind of the U.S. Founded by Trinity Broadcasting Networks’s co-founder, Jan Crouch, this theme park is pretty impressive.
There are five live shows each day in the park’s Church of All Nations. One of these performances, The Four Women Who Loved Jesus, won the “Best Overall Production” from the International Association of Amusement Park and Attractions. All their shows feature world-class actors.
There is also a children’s area with lots of activities, such as a chance to dress up like bible characters, face painting, a rock-climbing wall and more. There is Christus Gardens , which includes beautiful wax figures and famous scenes, such as The Last Supper. Another highlight is the Scriptorium for Biblical Antiquities, which is a walk-through experience that recounts biblical history.
