The Half-Moon Bastion was an original part of the original foundation of “Charles Town”, and protruded out into the water as a “half-moon” shape. In 1781, the Old Exchange Building was constructed on the site of the Half-Moon Bastion. I will bring my own “ghost hunting” meter. I would Love to stay there, because I’ve always wanted to stay down at the battery. It is too expensive for my pocketbook, though and I have had to find other less expensive spots when I went to Charleston.
