Big news! Norwegian Cruise Line recently bought Prestige Cruises International, which is the parent company of upscale cruise lines, Oceania Cruises and Regent Seven Seas Cruises. This $3 billion deal gives Norwegian solid footing in the luxury cruise industry. Albeit as a distant third, Norwegian joins the heavyweights of the cruise industry, Carnival and Royal Caribbean. In addition to this acquisition, Norwegian has five new vessels scheduled to debut between 2015 – 2019, not to mention the two new ships it launched in the last year.
