Rome has been nicknamed the “Eternal City.” Be sure to toss a coin into the Trevi Fountain for good luck, roam St. Peter’s Square, explore The Colosseum, climb the Spanish Steps, see Vatican City (including the spectacular Sistine Chapel), and go shopping at Campo dei Fiori and Piazza di Spagna. This ancient city is also known as the world’s largest open air museum. I highly recommend a Tiber River dinner cruise. This is the third longest river in Italy and you will enjoy the scenery and great Italian food & wine. What a great place to ring in the New Year! For more ideas, visit http://www.rome.info/.

Fun Facts:

*Rome has 280 fountains and 900 churches!

*€3,000 is collected each day from Rome’s Trevi Fountain!

*The average Italian eats 45 pounds of pasta a year!

*Vatican City is the world’s smallest country and as such has its own currency and stamps. It has one of the biggest churches in the world, St. Peter’s Basilica.
