BEST PLACES FOR SUMMER VACATION 2023

It’s time to start thinking about and planning for your summer vacation, especially if you are going to a popular destination (like DisneyWorld or national parks). Here’s my list of best places for summer vacation 2023:

#1 on my list of best places for summer vacation 2023 is DisneyWorld.

DisneyWorld is celebrating its 50th anniversary so it is a great time to go. Epcot’s first roller coaster is opening this summer, Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind. Also, this summer is the debut of TRON: Lightcycle Run at Magic Kingdom. Beginning April 2023, the Happily Ever After nighttime spectacular returns to Magic Kingdom park, featuring all-new projections down Main Street, U.S.A. Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure is opening at Epcot. Moana Journey of Water is a new interactive walk-through maze. Space 220 Restaurant promises to be “out of this world!” And there’s even more new things and celebrations!

#2 on my list is American river cruises.

National parks are always popular, especially during the summer. However, this summer they are expected to be insanely popular. The list of the most visited include Yosemite, Grand Tetons, Glacier, Grand Canyon, Bryce Canyon, Cuyahoga Valley, Redwood, Great Sand Dunes, Yellowstone, and Great Smoky Mountains. #4 on my list is the Lowcountry.

Lowcountry vacations are always hot during the summer (pun intended!) But seriously, there’s so much to do in greater Charleston, Savannah, Beaufort, and Hilton Head, including area beaches and remote islands. There is small town charm combined with lots of unique attractions, historical sites, old plantations, ghost tours, delicious lowcountry cuisine, scenic lighthouses, horse-drawn carriage tours, boat tours, and much more!

#5 on my list of best places for summer vacation 2023 is a Disney cruise.

Disney Wish, Disney’s newest and biggest ship to date, was launched last year. The ship will offer 3 & 4 night cruises from Port Canaveral, FL to the Bahamas. While on board ship you can dine at Worlds of Marvel and Arendelle (Frozen) restaurants and enjoy Broadway style shows (including Aladdin and Little Mermaid). Also on board is Senses Spa, Walt Disney Theater, Disney Unchartered Adventure, Hero Zone, game shows, comedy acts, live music, movies and more! Disney Wish is home to AquaMouse, which is a thrilling combination roller coaster and water slide that ends in a lazy river.
The cruise will include a port call in Nassau, Bahamas, which was a huge pirate haven back in the day and today is home to the Pirates of Nassau Museum. Nassau is also home to the Straw Market where you can shop for souvenirs and more. (By the way, cruises are back! This is the first “wave season” (peak cruise booking season is Jan – March) that has been red hot since 2020. Many are selling out!)
