In recent years, airlines have been socking it to air travelers with all kinds of fees, from checked bag fees to paying extra for an aisle seat. There has even been talk about pay toilets. The latest news is even more disturbing than having to pay to use the facilities.
Ryanair typically has three bathrooms on each airplane. Recently, they announced that they will eliminate two of the three bathrooms to make room for six more seats. This means that you will share one loo with 200 (make that 206) passengers. And if the restroom becomes “out of order,” that means no facilities for the duration of the flight.
If there is not too much backlash, I wouldn’t be surprised if restrooms are phased out altogether on short flights so that they can have nine more seats on these flights=$$$. And whatever one airlines gets away with, others always follow…
