Why I Like It: This package includes round-trip flights from New York to Naples with other departure cities available. It includes six nights lodging in your choice of hotels and a 7-day car rental. You’re getting all the advantages of a packaged tour but with the convenience and independence many travelers crave. You can zip along the Amalfi coast where you’ll be able to stop and explore Pompeii (I highly recommend this), Ravello (a quaint seaside mountain town), Caserta (where you’ll see sculptures by Brunelli), Capri (including a boat ride to the Blue Grotto), and you can also opt to take a ferry over to Ischia, the largest island in the Bay of Naples. You can do as much or as little as you like but you want to be sure to sample delicious Italian cuisine and wine! Maybe even buy some Italian shoes…
