FYI: The number of passengers traveling this year is higher than last year.
It is anticipated that 45 million travelers will be flying between Dec. 17 – Jan. 4.
Dec. 19 will be the heaviest travel day at American airports.
To accommodate increasing demand, airlines have been adding seats, mainly through the use of larger aircraft.
Planes are expected to be 90 percent full over the holiday period.
The lightest air travel days will be Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day.
